All the cars we purchase at auction go to a regional center to have a multi-point inspection. Our technicians replace most of the hoses and wiring, oil and filter, brakes, sand rotors, fix windshield, paint, and get the vehicle up to our level of excellence. The Inspection center is essential to our supply chain and the manager needs to be able to see how vital the center is to DriveTime. Production managers must be able to meet goals but also make sure all vehicles we send to our dealerships meet our standards.Exciting Responsibilities.The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to provide general guidelines and parameters for the job and are not intended to be a comprehensive, detailed description of the job. The immediate supervisor and the employee should mutually establish detailed job duties and responsibilities.Ensure that dealerships are consistently supplied with a sufficient variety of high-quality inventory vehicles to meet sales demand.Achieve BLM objectives through effective management of the inspection center team, operating expenses, efficiency, quality and productivity.Implement and execute all company-wide or regional level initiatives so as to maximize their impact and to help meet or exceed inventory and BLM goals.Work with Regional Management and Buyer team to establish supply chain goals.Hold regularly scheduled meetings with all Inspection Center staff (including the RIO Manager and office staff) to discuss BLM performance, acknowledge contributions of team members, communication company-wide changes, and provide open forum for questions and discussion.Responsibility for all ensuring aspects of Inspection Center processes are maintained within policy and procedure and corporate guidelines, including but not limited to administration of gas cards/dealer plates for test drives, quality of ASR and reconditioned inventory, working with the Retail General Managers to resolve inventory issues and maintenance of electronic personnel transactions.Complete recruiting, screening, and hiring Inspection Center team members using methods that reduce turnover and improve performance.Ensure Technician Team Leads are effectively training and developing their direct reports.Provide proactive leadership to the Inspection Center team to achieve BLM objectives in a method consistent with DriveTime?s vision and values.Evaluate Inspection Center team performance and give feedback consistently, regularly, and in a timely manner based on both observations of performance and behavior, and the review of performance statistics.Support Regional Management in the execution of company-wide inventory related initiatives.Complete and conduct performance evaluations.Develop and enhance customer relationships by establishing, promoting, and maintaining excellent customer service with the dealership operations.Work with customers, peers, employees, corporate team, and regional management team to resolve complaints or concerns in a fast, positive, results-oriented fashion.Track Inspection Center progress/production and initiate changes as needed to meet goals and targets.Track supply chain plan and goals vs. actual inventory production and work with the Regional Management to adjust plan as necessary to maximize efficient usage of resources and minimize ?downtime?.Ensure good general understanding of reports by Inspection Center direct and indirect reports.Work with General Manager and Regional Manager to resolve customer repair issues, including providing repair estimates and scheduling after-sale repair workEnjoy the Rewards and Benefits.Culture: We're Relaxed.
