Details: General SummaryThe role of the store manager is to manage and direct the operation of an National Tire & Battery (NTB) retail store engaged in selling tires and related automotive parts and mechanical services.  He/she is responsible for the sales and profit results of the location and the quality of its operation, in compliance withNTB’s policies and procedures.  The store manager is responsible for hiring, training, developing, and evaluating a staff of employees who exemplify quality service, in all aspects, to NTB customers.Primary Responsibilities· Meets or exceeds NTB’s performance standards for quality and speed of service to our customers· Achieves or exceeds sales and profit goals· Ensures continuous implementation and enforcement of NTB’s policies and procedures· Attracts, hires, trains, develops, evaluates, and retains store employees· Develops promotable employees· Exercises strong, fair, and consistent leadership with all employees· Delegates authority and subsequent ownership of those functions delegated, as appropriate for the position· Builds and maintains a team effort consistent with the goals of the company· Performs the duties of absent employees when necessaryThe store manager is responsible for the effective administration of, but not limited to the following:· Protects company assets, cash, inventory, equipment, systems, and documents· Adheres to local, state, and federal laws· Enforces safety and workers’ compensation policies· Maintains a drug-free workplace· Performs inventory control· Receives and warehouses tires and parts· Stores security· Handles warranty and adjustment procedures and merchandise properly· Performs special orders and outside purchases· Handles merchandising and display· Handles the used tire inventory· Takes responsibility for store maintenance, cleanliness, and opening and closing procedures· Adheres to procedures for work orders and invoices· Enforces the company code of conduct · Ensures that proper completion of all new hire paperwork is sent to the Human Resource department· Follows all safety practices as outlined in policy and procedures· Performs other duties as assigned
